Lingayen Gulf Landings marked today

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – The province celebrates today the 65th anniversary of the Lingayen Gulf Landings at the refurbished Veterans’ Park here to “refresh the people’s consciousness on the heroism of Pangasinan war veterans and the historic Lingayen Gulf.”

The traditional wreath-laying ceremony highlights the day’s activities after the thanksgiving Mass participated in by Pangasinense war veterans.

Dr. MacArthur Samson, president of the University of Luzon in Dagupan City whose father was a war veteran, will be the guest of honor and speaker. – Eva Visperas, Cesar Ramirez
