CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Four people were killed and six others were injured when a passenger bus rammed into a van along the MacArthur Highway in Gerona, Tarlac before dawn yesterday.
Police identified the fatalities as Milagros Mones, Joseph Galleros, Maricel Galvez, and Marilou Galvez, all La Union residents.
The driver of the Florida bus, police said, admitted that he fell asleep, causing the bus to swerve to the northbound lane and smash into the van, which was carrying all the victims. – Ric Sapnu
