Parking space spat leads to gun duel

-

BATANGAS, Philippines – Two businessmen gunned down each other Thursday night during an altercation over parking space near the restaurants they owned in Nasugbu town, police said.

Superintendent Antonio Malabanan, Nasugbu police chief, said Ronaldo Cabral, 39, owner of Veranda Restobar, sustained a bullet wound in the underarm, while Francisco Credito, 41, an overseas contract worker and owner of Jordan’s Grill Restaurant, had two gunshot wounds in the chest.

Both businessmen, whose restaurants are located along Apacible Boulevard in Barangay Buana, Nasugbu, died while being treated at the Nasugbu Doctor’s Hospital.

Reports said Credito confronted Cabral whose car was blocking the parking space leading to his establishment. The verbal tussle led to a fistfight until bystanders pacified them.

But the two businessmen reportedly rushed to their respective cars to get their guns and then fired at each other.
