Chavit files COC for Ilocos governor

VIGAN CITY , Philippines  – True to what he had announced during his birthday in June, Deputy National Security Adviser Luis “Chavit” Singson filed Tuesday his certificate of candidacy (COC) for Ilocos Sur governor in next year’s elections.

He filed ahead of his partymates as the rest of his provincial slate that is being finalized will be known by Saturday when they will file their COCs. It was learned that many hopefuls are egging to be included in Chavit’s ticket.

Incumbent Gov. Deogracias Victor Savellano will be Singson’s teammate as vice gubernatorial bet under the Lakas-Kampi CMD administrtaion party. Vice Gov. Jerry Singson, Chavit’s younger brother, will head the provincial board slate.   – Teddy Molina
