Drunkard kills elder brother in Sariaya

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna , Philippines  – A bonding of three brothers turned bloody when a 37-year-old man, high on liquor, killed his elder brother following a heated argument in their house in Sariaya, Quezon, Sunday afternoon, report said.

Sariaya town police chief Superintendent Danilo Morzo, said one Russel Sadili, 42, resident of Barangay Mangalang, died of gunshot wounds.

Initial investigation showed that at around 3 p.m., Sunday afternoon, the suspect, Richard Sadili, 37, and his other younger brother, Rico, 29, were having a drink inside their residence when Russel arrived armed with a bolo.

Richard immediately confronted Russel, who was drunk, triggering a heated argument. Russel tried to hack Richard with his bolo. Morso said Richard got his .45 caliber pistol and shot Russell three times, then, the suspect immediately escaped after the shooting.       – Ed Amoroso
