MANILA, Philippines - Information technology development firm Stradcom Corp. was recently hailed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as one of its top taxpayers for fiscal year 2008 in the province of Pangasinan.
The company received a citation for its continued commitment to support the BIR’s programs and activities, specifically in Pangasinan. In doing so, it has helped raise revenue collections for the BIR on both the national and regional levels.
This achievement is made even more outstanding by the fact that, under the Board of Investments (BOI), Stradcom is an income tax-exempt company.
Joseph Catapia, BIR revenue district officer for Pangasinan, said, “Stradcom has been a top taxpayer in our region for the past several years despite the fact that it is exempted from paying income taxes. This is truly a great achievement and speaks highly of the company’s integrity and social responsibility.”
In appreciation of Stradcom’s commitment, the BIR Revenue Region 1 awarded the company a plaque of appreciation at rites celebrating the bureau’s 105th anniversary last Aug. 6 in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
