Another Laguna shabu laboratory busted: 2 Chinese women nabbed

-

Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna , Philippines  – Another suspected shabu laboratory was raided by authorities which resulted to the arrest of two female Chinese nationals in Sta. Cruz, Laguna Friday afternoon, police said.

Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, Region 4 police chief identified the suspect as Qui Yau, 24 and Ro San Go, 40.

Armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Divina Gracia-Ongkeko of Regional Trial Court Branch 91 in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, elements of the Laguna Police Provincial Office swooped down at the apartment owned by a certain Myla San Juan in Barangay Patimbao around 4 p.m.

Seized from the suspects were chemicals, mixers, containers used in the manufacture of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride)

Senior Superintendent Manolito Labador, Laguna police director said the operation was an offshoot of the raid conducted in Barangay Balibago Sta. Rosa, Laguna last Thursday where two Chinese nationals, Hung Zhi Peng and Go Chan Son were also arrested by the Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Force.

Mas malaki itong nakuha namin sa Sta. Cruz kasi naka crates pa ang mga chemicals na nakatago sa laboratory nila” Labador said adding that the suspects started renting the house just three months ago.

Compared to the Sta Rosa shabu lab which can probably produce at least 10 kilos of shabu per day – “I think the Sta. Cruz lab can produce a lot more than that” Labador said.

Labador said the suspects arrested in both locations belong only to one group, a Chinese drug syndicate who managed to enter the country illegally.   – With Ed Amoroso
