NPA: 3 soldiers killed in Aurora ambush

ANGELES CITY, Philippines – The New People’s Army (NPA) in Aurora said three soldiers were killed and several others were wounded in a recent ambush in Barangay Galintuia, Ma. Aurora town.

In a statement, Rowena Servante, spokesman of the NPA’s Domingo Erlano Command, alleged that the Army’s 7th Infantry Division had kept the ambush secret, as the slain soldiers belonged to its 702nd Infantry Brigade. 

Earlier, the Armed Forces’ Northern Luzon Command said it was on target in complying with President Arroyo’s order to crush the rebels in its turf by 2010.  – Ding Cervantes
