Suspected drug pushers nabbed in Zambales

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Six persons suspected to be drug pushers were arrested by combined Olongapo City Police, Criminal Investigation and Detection Field and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales, Thursday.

In his report here Chief Inspector Ponce Penones Jr., (CIDF) Zambales, identified the suspects as Rolando Sabado, 32; Jesus Tajos, 18; Joel Ignacio, 32; Japeth Jabilio, 22; Santiago Querubin, 22; and Leovin Gomez, 29; all residents of Barangay Calapacuan.

Penones said that police conducted a buy-bust operation following reports of the proliferation of shabu at the said area.

The lawmen arrested the suspects in a supposed drug den and seized from them 38 pieces of sachet containing shabu with an estimated street value of P35,000.

The suspects were detained at the Olongapo City jail and illegal possession of prohibited drugs were filed in court against them. – Ric Sapnu
