Isabela mayor still in coma

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – The mayor of Maconacon, Isabela is still in “third-degree coma” two days after he was shot in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, authorities said.

“In fact, his (condition) is getting worse,” Chief Superintendent Roberto Damian, Cagayan Valley police director, said of Mayor Francisco Talosig who sustained gunshot wounds in the right side of his neck.

Philippine National Police chief Director General Jesus Verzosa has offered a P50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Talosig’s attackers.  – Charlie Lagasca, Cecille Suerte Felipe
