3 siblings massacred in Negros

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Three siblings, including two minors, were hacked and stabbed dead by unidentified men who barged into their house in Kabankalan City in southern Negros Monday night.

Twenty-year-old Elmer Lamera and his half-brother, Crispino Florendo Jr., 15, were killed on the spot. Though wounded, their 10-year-old sister Christine managed to flee their house in Barangay Tampalon and sought their neighbors’ help, but she later died while being rushed to the hospital. – Antonieta Lopez
