Barangay chairman shot dead

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Two unidentified armed men riding in tandem shot dead a barangay chairman in front of a store in barangay Atencio, Moncada, Tarlac, over the weekend.  

In his report here, Senior Superintendent Rudy Lacadin, Tarlac police provincial director, identified the victim as Mauricio Abraham, 63, incumbent barangay Chairman of Atencio.

Lacadin said the victim was in front of Rina’s store when two gunmen riding in a motorcycle without plate number arrived and shot him.

He said that one of the suspects served as a lookout while the other one armed with a .45 caliber pistol shot the victim in the different parts of the body.   – Ric Sapnu
