Bayan Muna member's slay probed

MANILA, Philippines – Police are investigating the killing of a Bayan Muna member, who was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding men in Boston, Davao Oriental last Wednesday afternoon.

Task Force Usig, which probes killings of journalists and activists, is now checking if the slay of Lodenio Monzon falls under its mandate.

Monzon, according to reports reaching Camp Crame, was driving home on a motorcycle when he was attacked. – Cecille Suerte Felipe
