4 rob gang members face charges

MANILA, Philippines - The Rizal police will file frustrated murder and robbery charges today against two women and two male members of a robbery gang, who along with their three slain companions, victimized an Australian national in Jala-Jala town last Friday.

Facing charges are Marilou Rey Quinagoran, 51; Ma. Socorro Singson; Britanico Penaflor, 24; and Nick Perocho, 46.

Senior Superintendent Ireneo Dordas, Rizal police director, said the suspects, along with their slain companions, robbed Australian national Jun Rey Baker, 74, and his wife, Clarita Librado, of P300,000 in cash and jewelry. – Non Alquitran
