- Eva Visperas -

URDANETA CITY , Philippines  – A 20-year-old nursing student wrote a suicide message on the orange t-shirt he wore before he hanged himself using a nylon rope in Zone 1, Barangay Bayaoas this city on April 19.

The body of Geysir Arnold Bergado, single, second year nursing student of Urdaneta City University, this city, was found by a tricycle driver named Mario Mamasig.

Mamasig was then waiting for a passenger when he saw Bergado’s body hanging inside an unfinished construction building prompting him to rush him to the Sacred Heart Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by an attending doctor.

Bergado wrote a suicide note on the orange t-shirt he wore asking forgiveness for what he did.

In front of the t-shirt were written the following: “Pa, siguro masaya ka na. Sana mapatawad mo ako kung ano man ang hindi ko nagampanan bilang anak mo. Sana kahit ngayon lang ay umuwi ka para makita mo ako. Salamat po sa lahat (Pa, perhaps you’re happy now. I hope you will forgive me for the things I failed to do as your son. I hope even for this time only you will come home so you will see me. Thanks for everything).”

Then, another message read: Angel ko, sana mapatawad mo ako. Mahal na mahal kita (My Angel, I hope you will forgive me. I love you so much).

Then another read: Mga kapatid ko sana mapatawad ninyo ako sa nagawa ko mahal na mahal ko kayo (My siblings, I love you so much and may you forgive me).

At the back of the t-shirt were written: Patawad po paalam sa inyong lahat (I’m sorry goodbye to you all).
