Thieves strike at Pangasinan governor's poultry farm

BUGALLON, Pangasinan, Philippines  – Thieves didn’t spare the poultry farm of Gov. Amado Espino Jr. in Barangay Portic this town but they ended up in jail after the governor’s helpers caught them in the act of stealing chickens around 2 a.m. on Friday.

Elements of the police led by Chief Inspector Noel Espinoza arrested Ramil Pangilinan, 37; and Jeffrey Cristobal, 25, both residents of Barangay Polo, San Isidro, Nueva Ecija.

Initial police investigation showed that the suspects took excess number of harvested chickens loaded in an Isuzu Forward truck (XDD-983) at the Espino Farm in the said place.

A farm caretaker noticed that the suspects placed the excess chickens in the truck amounting to P12,000.

The two were lodged in jail.   – Eva Visperas
