Father rapes, impregnates daughter

CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines – Police have arrested and filed charges against a 36-year-old man who allegedly raped his own daughter at least 13 times and got her pregnant.

Superintendent Eliseo Cruz, Cabanatuan City police chief, said the suspect was arrested in Barangay San Jose Norte here.

Cruz said the suspect was arrested following a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother. Charges have been filed before the city prosecutor’s office.

Police probers said that on March 15, at around 1:15 p.m., the suspect barged into the room of his daughter and sexually molested her. The victim resisted and shouted for help, which was heard by her mother.

With the help of neighbors,they overpowered the suspect who was later arrested and detained. – Manny Galvez
