MANILA, Philippines - Club Pangasinense Inc. (CPI), composed of businessmen and professionals who hail from Pangasinan but are based in Manila, recently honored Secretary Hermogenes Esperon Jr. for his valuable contribution to the growth of the province.
CPI president Adonis Samson gave recognition to Esperon, head of the Presidential Management Staff, last March 14 at the Manila Pavilion during the club’s reunion and fellowship night for helping bring Pangasinan “to the golden age.”
“We honor our top Pangasinense officials who have been serving our countrymen with honor, integrity and commitment – values that are innate among Pangasinenses,” Samson said.
Pangasinan Gov. Amado Espino Jr. also graced the event.
For his part, Esperon, who hails from Asingan town, expressed his appreciation to the club for recognizing his contributions to Pangasinan.
“Rest assured that I will be there to help the province of Pangasinan in any way I can to foster its social and economic growth,” he said.
Esperon, former Armed Forces chief, served as presidential adviser on the peace process before moving to the PMS.
