Cop dies from heat stroke

ILAGAN, Isabela, Philippines – A 40-year-old policeman here died from heat stroke the other day as he and his colleagues were undergoing physical fitness tests at the Governor Melanio Singson Sports Complex in this capital town. 

PO3 Marianito Bolima, assigned at 206th Provincial Mobile Group, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital where he was rushed after collapsing during a two-kilometer run.

The temperature in the province reached at least 30 degrees Celsius the other day. – Charlie Lagasca
