'Act on recall petition vs Panlilio'

MANILA, Philippines - A Pampanga-based group staged yesterday a rally at the Commission on Elections’ central office in Intramuros, Manila to demand the processing of the recall petition that it filed against Gov. Ed Panlilio.

Some 30 members of the Kapanalig at Kambilan Ning Memalen Pampanga Inc. (Kambilan) said even without available funds for recall elections, the Comelec should not stall the recall proceedings.

“We have submitted all the required documents and we believe there is still time to hold the (recall) election,” said Kambilan president Rosve Henson. – Sheila Crisostomo
