No word on trader, child

-

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – Police and the military were still clueless on the whereabouts of a Chinese-Filipino trader and his daughter who were snatched by armed men here late Wednesday.

Senior Superintendent Willie Dangane, city police chief, said they have sought the help of religious leaders and authorities in Kabuntalan, Maguindanao in locating grocery store owner Wilson Tan, 50, and his 10-year-old daughter.

Father and daughter were seized while on their way home from the downtown area here and dragged into a pumpboat in a river near the Cotabato City-Kabuntalan border. – John Unson
