Couple, driver ambushed in Ilocos
BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – A business couple and their driver died dawn yesterday in Solsona town, in Ilocos Norte after they were ambushed by still unidentified gunmen using assault rifles.
Eddie Tabradilla and his wife Eden, who owns a videoke bar in the said town, were going home aboard their vehicle driven by Alejandro Balaco when fired upon by the gunmen.
The couple died on the spot while Balaco died in the hospital. The couple and their driver suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Probers who are still looking for answers to the slaying found 30 empty shells of M16 Armalite rifle at the scene of the shooting.
This is the latest among grizzly crimes occurring in Ilocos Norte sending shivers among residents with questions leveled against policemen and civil authorities when these shooting incidents and dastardly acts end.
In Magsingal town, Ilocos Sur, a militiaman was shot while dancing along with revelers at a birthday party in Barangay Maratudo. – Artemio Dumlao
