Origin of firecracker factory blast traced

The inter-agency task force of the Department of the Interior and Local Government has traced the origin of the blast that wiped out a fireworks factory in Trece Martires, Cavite last Friday.

Task force officials said the probe will now move to determine the cause of the explosion, which could be a basis in holding certain people responsible for the death of 11 people and wounding of several others last Jan. 29.

Undersecretary for Public Safety Marius Corpus said the task force is still at the exploratory stage of its investigation to determine whether the fire or the explosion occurred first at one of the craters where the metal container van was located.   – Cecille Suerte Felipe
