3 armored van escorts die in mishap

BATANGAS CITY – Three security personnel escorting an armored van were killed while 20 others were hurt when their vehicles collided along the Diversion Road here Friday morning, police said.

Superintendent Manuel Abu, city police chief, identified the fatalities as Virgilio Jurado, Louie Espaldon and Taka Tingangao, all employed at Gamilla Security Agency.

Police said the three were on board a Mitsubishi Adventure which smashed into a Manila-bound Alps bus.– Arnell Ozaeta
