Marijuana haul valued at P170 million

CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union – Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), police and military uprooted marijuana plants valued at some P170 million in weeklong operations at the boundary of Sugpon, Ilocos Sur and Kibungan, Benguet.

PDEA-Region 1 director Roberto Opeña said the haul consisting of 795,200 fully grown marijuana plants, 35,200 seedlings and 2.5 kilos of seeds was the biggest in the area. – Jun Elias, Teddy Molina
