3 persons killed in road accident

LUCENA CITY – Three persons were killed after a vehicle collision at Barangay Gulang-gulang at the city proper, yesterday.

Police reports said the victims identified as Andrew Federioque Paranal, 21, student; Juan Arceo, 18; and Rosario Durante, 44; of Kanlurang Mayao, Lucena City, died instantly while Madonna Durante, Donalyn Durante and Donabelle Durante, are now confined at the Mt. Carmel Hospital.

Police said that around 8:30 p.m. in front of the second gate of North Employees Village, the Mazda car (UKW-892) driven by Paranal heading towards the city proper bumped the rear portion of one Yamaha tricycle with body number 1153 driven by a certain Joseph Lagos which was traversing ahead of the car.

Paranal, Arceo and Durante suffered severe head and body injuries and died while being rushed to the hospital.     – Michelle Zoleta
