Japanese contractor stabbed dead

-

BAGUIO CITY – A manager of a Japanese contracting firm doing several bridge projects in Ilocos Sur province is now fighting for his life at the hospital after he was repeatedly stabbed Friday night in Vigan City for still unknown reasons.

Kouya Takaisi, 46, of the Toyo Construction, was walking home to his temporary residence in Barangay San Julian in Vigan City after winding up from a bar when two scooter-riding men stabbed him several times.

The victim sustained stab wounds on his forehead, right arm and right chest.

Police said the suspects tailed him when he emerged from the bar where he unwinded up and took the chance of stabbing him along the road where there was none to seek help.

Aside from stabbing him, the police added, the suspects fled with the Japanese’s bag containing cash, valuable personal things and his license. Police are still tracking down the suspects. – Artemio Dumlao
