MARAWI CITY – The kidnapped budget officer of the Mindanao State University (MSU) was released unharmed and without ransom in Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur yesterday, after five days in captivity.
Col. Rey Ardo, commander of the Army’s 104th Infantry Brigade, said while the military joined the police in pressuring the captors of MSU budget officer Hipolito Minoza to free him, the crisis management committee created by Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal Adiong coordinated with them and Marawi City Mayor Fahad Pre Salic while negotiating with the abductors. – Lino de la Cruz
