Man shot dead by neighbors

COTABATO CITY – A man was shot dead by neighbors after he went berserk, killing two and wounded another in a hacking frenzy in nearby Sultan Kudarat, Shariff Ka­bun­­suan the other day.

The 45-year-old amok, Sando Sirad, an ethnic Maguindanaon, died from gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.

SPO2 Karis Talusan, officer-on-case, said Sirad, armed with a sharp machete, hacked dead Tawoh Bakang, 40, and his son Guinaid, 19, in their village located at an interior district in Sultan Kudarat.

After killing the duo, Sirad vented his ire on a neighbor named Gafor, who tried to pacify him.

Gafor’s arm was severed in the attack, Talusan said. – John Unson
