LEGAZPI CITY – Two members of an organized crime group pinpointed as responsible for the series of robbery-holdup incidents in Bicol that already claimed the lives of two security guards were killed yesterday when they shot it out with law enforcers who responded to a police assistance in Villa Grande Avenue in Naga City.

Lawyer Tomas Enrile, Legazpi office chief of the National Bureau of Investigation, identified the fatalities as Ronald Ibarra, the leader of the dreaded Ibarra Gang, and his member Remijo Vibar, residents of Naga City and nearby Milaor town, respectively.

NBI agents and members of the Naga and Regional headquarters police swooped down at around 6 p.m. the other day in Naga City after receiving a tip that the Ibarra gang was about to holdup the payroll money and the firearms of the Jomar Security Agency at Villamor Grande.
