Isnaji's son arrested

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Another Isnaji fell into the hands of law enforcers after he was arrested Thursday for alleged frustrated murder in this city.

Rommel Isnaji, son of detained Indanan, Sulu Mayor Alvarez Isnaji and brother Haider, was collared by raiding police enforcers armed with arrest warrant.

The young Isnaji did not resist arrest, according to the police.

Police said the arrest of the young Isnaji came following the order of Regional Trial Court Branch 9 Judge Peter Eisma for the case of frustrated murder for allegedly shooting Ronald Montoja in the village of Tumaga

The young Isnaji declined to comment on his arrest as the family quickly paid P200,000 bail and was immediately released by the police.

His father and brother have been detained under the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Manila for allegedly masterminding the kidnapping of ABS-CBN anchor Ces Drilon, her two cameramen, and state university professor Octavio Dinampo on June 8 in Maimbung, Sulu.

The victims were all freed nine days after payment of ransom in Indanan town. – Roel Pareño
