3 found dead in Balanga

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Three persons were found dead in a grassy area by a local resident in the upland village of Tuyo, Balanga City, Friday.

Police identified the fatalities as Ruben dela Cruz, 22, of Sitio Mathay and his brother Joel, 18 and Noel Lopez, 29; both of Sitio Nagkamayan, all in Barangay Tuyo.

The bodies of the victims were found by a resident who passed by the area at about 6:50 a.m., the report said.

Police said the victims were on a drinking spree the night before they were found dead by a resident.

The report said that neighbors heard burst of gunfires at about 1 a.m. and later bodies were found slumped on the grassy area near a big mango tree.

Police recovered five empty shells from a 9 mm pistol near the bodies.

Bataan police are still investigating the motive of the killing.        – Ric Sapnu
