Maid sought for slay of Japanese therapist

-

Police are looking for a housemaid of a Japanese national working as a physical therapist in Bamban, Tarlac to shed light on the latter’s killing last Wednesday night.

Superintendent Rudy Lacadin, Tarlac police director, said the housemaid, Cora Tejano, 44, who is reportedly seven months’ pregnant, had worked for the victim, Maasaki Kiuchi Hanawa, for only five days before the crime took place.

Hanawa, 66, was stabbed and clubbed at his Shintai Kinsiho Body Balancing Clinic in Barangay San Roque, Bamban town.

A few days before he was killed, Lacadin said Hanawa had withdrawn about P100,000 from a bank in Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga and kept it in a leather clutch bag.

Lacadin said the money was gone – and the housemaid, too.

Hanawa’s secretary Elena Cristina Santos said the Japanese therapist had been in the country for three years.   – Cecille Suerte Felipe
