10 heavily armed men rob Cainta call center

- Non Alquitran -

At least 10 heavily armed men, on board two vehicles, disarmed yesterday security guards of Robinson’s place in Cainta, Rizal and robbed some 21 call center employees of an undetermined cash and jewelry.

The employees of the Teletech Call Center were having a break at the covered parking area of the Robinson’s Place, when the suspects arrived on board an avocado-colored Kia Carnival (SEV 987) and a maroon Toyota Tamaraw FX (SRB 588) at about 2:20 a.m.

Police said the suspects, all wearing bonnets, disarmed five security guards of their service firearms- a 12 gauge shotgun, a caliber .38 revolver, a Motorola hand-held radio, three Kenwood hand-held radios, nine cellphones and a wrist watch and wallets.

After robbing the security guards, the suspects divested the call center employees of their personal belongings.

The suspects fled toward an unknown direction.

The Cainta police are still investigating the incident.
