Pangasinan mayor’s aides gunned down

SAN NICOLAS, Pangasi­nan – Two close aides of the town mayor here were gunned down Friday night in sitio Lagpan, Barangay San Felipe East this town.

Police Superintendent Tommy Cabigas, group director of the 107th Provincial Mobile Group that covers this town, told The STAR that the fatalities were Rogelio dela Rosa, 35, a municipal employee and Arnold Kenneth, 32, both of Barangay Cabogaoan here.

Cabigas went to the site yesterday to conduct probe and found out that the suspects were allegedly sent by Mayor Leoncio Saldivar III who was then at his farm near the area to go out and buy junk foods and softdrinks around 8 p.m. They rode in a top down motorcycle. – Eva Visperas
