Mother, child hurt in septic tank blast

MALOLOS CITY – A mother and her daughter suffered injuries when a septic tank in San Jose del Monte City in eastern Bulacan exploded last Wednesday night.

The victims, Rowena Reyes, 42, a Gawad Kalinga social worker, and her daughter, Pauleen, were rushed to the Zamora Medical Clinic and later transferred to the Philippine General Hospital for the treatment of their second-degree burns, said Senior Superintendent Allen Bantolo, acting provincial police director.       – Dino Balabo
