LAOAG CITY – Elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Region 1 arrested two suspected hired killers tagged in the killing of this city’s legal officer last Dec. 18.

Senior Superintendent Marvin Bolabola, CIDG-Region 1 chief, identified the two as Petronilo Ravena, alleged leader of a gun-for-hire group operating in the two Ilocos provinces and Abra, and one of his henchmen, Efren Alagao, the alleged triggerman in the killing of city legal officer Jose Antonio Pastor.

Alagao was arrested last Jan. 26, and Ravena on Jan. 19 after month-long surveillance operations. They were presented to the media the other day.
