2 dead, 3 others hurt in bus-trike collision

CALASIAO, Pangasinan – Two persons, one of them a seven-year old boy, died while three others were injured when the tricycle they rode in collided with a Five Star bus along the national highway in sitio Parongking, Barangay San Miguel this town.

In a report reaching the Pangasinan Police Office, the fatalities in this Jan. 12 vehicular accident were identified as Carlo Osian, 35, resident of Poblacion Sur, Sta. Barbara town and his nephew Philip Joshua Osian.

They were rushed to the Region I Medical Center in Dagupan City by responding policemen but were declared dead on arrival by their attending physicians.

Injured and also brought to the same hospital were Gina Osian, 32, Angel Osian and Pilar Osian, wife, daughter and mother respectively of the tricycle driver.

Though already injured, Pilar wrote down the plate number of the bus bound for Manila that bumped them whose driver surrendered later to the Villasis Police Station in Villasis town.    – Eva Visperas
