A Japanese tourist was killed in an ambush by two motorcycle-riding men in Cebu City yesterday, police said.
Hiroshi Kosaka, 49, was on his way to the airport for an early morning flight to Narita when he was shot, police said.
Kosaka’s attackers had apparently waited for his vehicle at a stoplight and shot him point-blank before speeding away, police said.
The driver of the vehicle was unharmed and reported the incident to police.
“We are investigating the motive of the attack,” said city police chief Senior Superintendent Rodel Calungsod on Manila radio. – AFP
