Acting Bulacan provincial police director replaced

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – For almost seven months as acting provincial director, the controversial Senior Superintendent Asher Dolina, acting Bulacan provincial director was finally replaced yesterday by his classmate in the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class ‘83.

In a simple turn-over ceremony at Camp Gen. Alejo Santos in Bulacan, Senior Superintendent Alfredo Caballes, Police Regional Office-3 (PRO3) deputy regional director for administration, said that Senior Superintendent Allen Bantolo was assigned as officer-in-charge of the Bulacan provincial police replacing Dolina.

Caballes said Bantolo, formerly officer-in-charge of Nueva Ecija provincial police office was relieved because of a series of shooting incidents during the last elections there.

His present assignment is with the PNP Training Center before he was assigned as officer-in-charge of the Bulacan provincial police office.

Bantolo when interviewed by The STAR, said that he was surprised in his new assignment because he said he just received his order over the weekend.

The new OIC said he will continue the programs and reforms being initiated by Dolina, who in his brief stint as officer-in-charge of the Bulacan police was able to renovate the provincial director’s quarters and has almost finished the construction of the new three-story Bulacan police headquarters inside the camp.
