Two more suspects in Kalinga vice gov’s slay charged
CAMP ADDURU, Tuguegarao City – Two more suspects, one of them a security aide of the late Kalinga vice governor Rommel Diasen, were formally charged before the provincial prosecutor’s office the other day in connection with the vice governor’s killing last April, sources here said.
Police identified the two suspects as Nardo Agay and Lito Dangli, who were charged with murder. Earlier, one Joel Melod was also charged.
Both Agay and Dangli were reportedly arrested by a Cordillera police team in
Agay was one of Diasen’s security escorts, while Dangli was the emcee of the program when the vice governor was gunned down.
Diasen was delivering a speech during a campaign stop in
Gov. Diasen said she was grateful about the arrest of Agay and Dangli. “(But) we are just careful in filing the case so it would not just be dismissed by the prosecution,” she said.
