PNP opens 28th crime lab in Aurora
BALER, Aurora – The Philippine National Police (PNP) has established a satellite crime laboratory in this capital town to speed up the solution of crimes in this remote province.
The crime lab, the 28th so far established by the PNP Crime Laboratory (PNPCL) nationwide, was inaugurated recently at the Aurora Trading Center (ATC) here, site of the proposed national government center.
The provincial government provided the site and building housing the crime lab.

Under the PNP’s five-year development plan, Cacdac said they expect to set up crime labs in all provinces.
Cacdac has designated Superintendent Arteo Caimbon as chief of the
Gov. Bellaflor Angara-Castillo told The STAR that the provincial government is also providing space for the provincial office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Caimbon said the crime lab will be fully operational by the first week of November to provide technical support and forensic services to government and non-government investigating units and agencies.
It is manned by a chemist, medical technologist, macro-etching and ballistic technicians, and medical examiner, most of whom are skilled scene of the crime operatives.
