Erap to face Sandiganbayan for oral arguments

Convicted former President Joseph Estrada is set to face the Sandiganbayan today to appeal his plunder case before the anti-graft court.

The president will leave his home at Polk St., North Greenhills around 9 a.m. after  being allowed by the court to spend overnight.

The court also granted his wish to see his ailing mother Mrs. Mary Ejercito who was awake and said to be smiling when she saw her son at the San Juan Medical Center.

Estrada was found guilty by the Sandiganbayan of plunder last month, making him the first Philippine president convicted of a crime.
