Pampanga governor admits receiving money from Palace

Pampanga-Pampanga Gov. Ed Panlilio admitted in receiving a huge amount of money from Bulacan Gov. Joselito Mendoza during a meeting in Malacañang last Thursday.

In a press conferece Panlilio said that his chief of staff Archie Reyes was surprise when he opened the bag containing crisp P 1,000 bills amounting to P 500,000.

He says that the money will be return to the palace if he's not issued a receipt. The money according to him would have been used for baranggay projects in time for the baranggay elections.

He however also clarified that the cash has nothing to do with the impeachment against President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
