Released OFW from Nigeria returns to RP, wants to go back

-

Overseas Filipino worker Albert Bacani, who had been released from his abduction last October 10, returned Saturday morning to Manila.

Bacani, who had been working as an electrician for an Italian company Saipem, had been abducted by armed men in Port Harcourt, Nigeria last September 27 but had been rescued this week.

Bacani arrived 8:45 a.m. at the airport and was welcomed by his family, as well as officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.

Bacani said he still wants to return to Nigeria despite his previous abduction and appealed to the Philippine government to lift the deployment ban to that country.
