Akyat Bahay gang members killed in shootout
Senior Superintendent Asher Dolina, Bulacan police director said the suspects were about to rob a mansion owned by a certain Flora Vidal at Barangay San Pedro, Bustos town.
Dolina said they have received intelligence reports three months ago that an Akyat Bahay gang known as Eskwela Gang were victimizing wealthy homeowners in Bustos and nearby towns.
They usually enter the house, hogtie the victims and ransack the house, Dolina said.
Dolina added that based on intelligence reports, the suspects are led by a certain Junjun Blondie and has been a using a stolen blue Mitsubishi Adventure.
Yesterday, Superintendent Manny Lopez of the 306th provincial mobile group along with elements of the Regional Intelligence office spotted the group on board a blue Mitsubishi van with license plates WFC 587 and were fired upon when they approached the gang who were about to rob Vidal’s house. – Dino Balabo
