The Senate hearing on Thursday had two witnesses expressing their disapproval with the controversial National Broadband Network project.
University of the Philippines economics professor Raul Fabella said the NBN project between the Philippine government and the Chinese firm ZTE Corp. does not make 'sense.'
Fabella, a former dean of the UP School of Economics, had earlier done a study on the NBN project together with the current economics den Emmanuel de Dios.
Meanwhile, former Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) chief Josephine Lichauco also said she had not supported the NBN deal during her term because of its 'wrong legal basis.'
