Pa kills son over phone load

-

UMINGAN, Pangasinan – Angered by his son’s failure to load prepaid credits to his cellular phone, a farmer here fatally stabbed his son at the height of a verbal tussle last Wednesday night, police said.

Investigation showed 58-year-old farmer Rodolfo Rillon and his 33-year-old son Edward had an argument over the cell phone load, leading to the latter gripping his father’s neck and stabbing him in different parts of the body.

The elder Rillon managed to fight back and stabbed his son in the hand and chest, causing his death.

Rillon was rushed to the Western Pangasinan District Hospital in Tayug town and later transferred to the Urdaneta Emergency Hospital due to his serious condition.
