Asia's most wanted JI bomber wounded in Sulu encounter

The military on Thursdya confirmed reports that Indonesian suspect Dulmatin, an operative of the Jemaah Islamiyah wanted for the 2002 Bali bombing, had been wounded in an August 9 encounter in Sulu.

Armed Forces of the Philippines chief General Hermogenes Esperon, Jr. said they received reliable reports that Dulmatin was among those wounded in a clash between the Abu Sayyaf and government troops in Maimbung.

Likewise, Esperon said one of the Abu Sayyaf leders, Doc Abu, was also injured and his son killed during the encounter.
