-

MANILA (AP) - Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrived in Manila Thursday for a two-day visit to strengthen wide-ranging ties with the Philippines.

During Dung's visit, officials of the two countries will sign several accords, including a three-year plan to flesh out the goals set out in a bilateral cooperation agreement between Manila and Hanoi concluded in November 2006 to "deepen and invigorate the relations," according the foreign affairs department.

The plan covers cooperation in numerous fields, including security, defense and economic matters as well as maritime and ocean concerns, energy security, tourism, agriculture, fisheries and forestry.
